Gordon MacDonald is A Harris Tweed Weaver, based in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, producing Harris Tweed fabric for sale by the metre. He sources his yarn from Harris Tweed Hebrides at the Shawbost Mill and Carloway Mill, before designing and weaving the fabric on his traditional single width Hattersley loom or Griffiths double width loom. After being finished at the Shawbost Mill the tweed is then inspected and stamped with the orb mark by the Harris Tweed Authority.
