Where and when is the Festival?

The next Scottish Yarn Festival will take place on 30 & 31 August at Perth Concert Hall, between the hours of 10am and 4pm.  Please note that this event will not open to the public until 10am. 

The Scottish Wool Producers Showcase is a separate event hosted by the same team and it will return on 22 March 2025 at the Civic Hall & Council Chambers, Perth, between the hours of 11am and 4pm.    Please note this event will not open to the public until 11am.  We would advise signing up for our newsletter for more specific event  information to be sent directly to your inbox once it becomes available:  newsletter

 

 

How do I get tickets?

Our festival tickets for 2025 will be made available in the summer.

Tickets for the next Scottish Wool Producers Showcase will be released at 7pm GMT on 7 February 2025 and we anticipate this to be another sold out event.

 

 

Is parking available at Perth Concert Hall and the Civic Hall & Council Chambers?

Both of the above venues are located in the centre of Perth and are served by a large variety of parking spaces and public transport options.

 

 

Will you have seating areas available?

The Scottish Yarn Festival:  Rest areas with seating will be available in Perth Concert Hall.

If you have difficulty standing while queueing please advise our security team once you arrive.

Scottish Wool Producers Showcase:  Rest areas with seating will be available at the Civic Hall & Council Chambers as well as outdoor benches along the River Tay just outside this venue.

 

Are your venues mobility aid / wheelchair accessible?

Yes.  Perth Concert Hall is all on a single, ground floor level.  The Civic Hall & Council Chambers can either be accessed by three short steps or a ramp to automatic doors.  The marketplace here will be hosted across 2 rooms on the ground floor.

 

 

Where is the nearest bus stop?

This is dependent on your route to Perth City Centre.  Please contact Stagecoach East Scotland for detailed local routes and national operators if you are travelling by bus from further afield.

 

 

Where is the nearest cash point / ATM?

We will not have any ATMS on site.  Please consider bringing cash as well as cards with you as there can be occasions when the internet and payment systems go down unscheduled at events.  ATMs are located at local bank branches and outside various shop locations within the City Centre.

 

 

Do I need a child’s ticket?

Accompanied children under 16 do not need a General Entry Ticket.  Please do not buy your under 16 child a ticket in advance from our website as our volunteers will be unable to process refunds on the door for tickets bought in error.  Under 18s and babies are not permitted in our classes or social events.

 

 

Do you offer concessionary tickets?

Wheelchair and mobility scooter users, or those using two walking sticks or crutches  may apply for a free companion ticket if bought in advance.  Please notify us of your ticket number and companion’s name by emailing us at hello@thescottishyarnfestival.com at least 72 hours before attending our events.  Please note we do not offer any other concessionary tickets at this time but it you have another diagnosed medical disability that will prevent you from attending on your own please contact us on the above email address and we will do our best of offer a solution where possible.

We do not reduce our ticket prices during the event.

 

 

I bought a ticket and can no longer go.  Can I swap it or get a refund?

All our tickets are automatically generated and issued to the registered email address at time of purchase, therefore we are unable to cancel and refund or swap them once sales have been completed.  All advance ticket holders agree to our Terms and Conditions of Sale before being able to proceed to the checkout on our website.  We strongly advise that you book leave from work – if applicable – before committing to buying any tickets.

 

 

I can’t find my ticket, how do I get in?

If you cannot find your ticket after checking your spam / junk folder (please note that many of these automatically delete after a certain time) please bring a copy of your PayPal receipt with you.

 

 

Can I bring my dog?

Only assistance dogs are permitted in our venues.

 

 

Is Wi-Fi available?

No.
