Where and when is the Festival?

The next Scottish Yarn Festival will take place on 7 September 2024 at Errol Showground, Perthshire.  The Scottish Wool Producers Showcase is a separate event hosted by the same team and it will return in March 2025.  We would advise signing up for our newsletter for more specific event  information to be sent directly to your inbox once it becomes available:  newsletter

 

 

How do I get tickets?

We will reveal our programme for The Scottish Yarn Festival on 29 June, and tickets will be released only on our website at 7pm BST on 6 July.  We would recommend purchasing your tickets early as our marketplace is one day this year we will not be holding tickets in reserve for on the door.  In the event that we do not sell out our tickets before we withdraw them from sale then these tickets will be made available on the door on a first come, first served basis.  Please do not email or message us and ask us to reserve door tickets for you.

Tickets for the next Scottish Wool Producers Showcase will be released in Spring 2025.

 

 

Is The Scottish Yarn Festival held indoors or outdoors?

Our marketplace will take place inside the Jim Clark Hall at Errol Showground which is fully covered.  Our food and drink vendors will be operating from their own food trucks outside the hall.

 

 

Is parking available at Errol Showground?

Yes.  We have significantly more parking available at Errol Showground (2000 spaces) for our exclusive use and stewards will be on hand to support you.  We have dedicated vendor parking spaces too.

Please be aware that public transport options to Errol Showground are very limited so we would encourage car-sharing wherever possible and we are continuing looking into shuttle bus options to the site.  You might want to consider joining our Travel Networking Facebook Group here:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/427506273228619/

 

 

Will you have seating areas available?

The Scottish Yarn Festival:  Rest areas with seating will be available in the Jim Clark Hall.

If you have difficulty standing while queueing please advise Security once you arrive.

 

 

Is Errol Showground mobility aid / wheelchair accessible?

Yes.  The whole of our event space will take place on the one level.

 

Where is the nearest cash point / ATM?

We will not have any ATMS on site.  Please consider bringing cash as well as cards with you as there can be occasions when the internet and payment systems go down unscheduled at events.

 

 

Do I need a child’s ticket?

Accompanied children under 16 do not need a General Entry Ticket.  Please do not buy your under 16 child a ticket in advance from our website as our volunteers will be unable to process refunds on the door for tickets bought in error.  Under 18s and babies are not permitted in our classes or social events.

 

 

Do you offer concessionary tickets?

Wheelchair and mobility scooter users, or those using two walking sticks or crutches  may apply for a free companion ticket if bought in advance.  Please notify us of your ticket number and companion’s name by emailing us at hello@thescottishyarnfestival.com at least 72 hours before attending our events.  Please note we do not offer any other concessionary tickets at this time but it you have another diagnosed medical disability that will prevent you from attending on your own please contact us on the above email address and we will do our best of offer a solution where possible.

 

 

I bought a ticket and can no longer go.  Can I swap it or get a refund?

All our tickets are automatically generated and issued to the registered email address at time of purchase, therefore we are unable to cancel and refund or swap them once sales have been completed.  All advance ticket holders agree to our Terms and Conditions of Sale before being able to proceed to the checkout on our website.  We strongly advise that you book leave from work – if applicable – before committing to buying any tickets.

 

 

Can I bring my dog?

Only assistance dogs are permitted in our venues.
