The Auld Woolly Alliance

The Auld (Woolly) Alliance was born out of a wish to put together our different backgrounds and cultures, and mix them into stories and patterns to share with the knitting community while enjoying ourselves. Of course, The Auld (Woolly) Alliance refers to our nationalities (Scottish and French) and our friendship… with a woolly twist!

Janice Anderson and Aurélie Colas are independent knit designers working close to Aberdeen. They sell downloadable knitting patterns via Ravelry and Loveknitting and printed patterns direct to shops and spinners. Janice works regularly with Rowan, and has undertaken freelance work for Patons, Herdy and Designer Yarns. Aurelies designs have featured in Knit Now magazine and knittinlittle.com

At the festival they will have a selection of their own designs in printed format, knit kits, Jamiesons of Shetland yarn and beautiful local wensleydale dk.
