Bev Dott is the two-time winner of the annual Jamieson & Smith KAL competition – as voted for the public – with her own fantastically colourful fairisle designs.
Fairisle and Steeking – £60
Saturday 8 September: 10am – 1pm
Venue: The Station Hotel, 1 Leonard Street, Perth, PH2 8HE
During this class you will learn to read a fairisle chart, chose colours, knit with 2 colours, catch floats, splice yarns, the maths (including centering patterns), knit a swatch and steeking.
Level: Participants should be comfortable at knitting in the round using their preferred method.
Materials: Shetland Wool will be provided by the tutor. 2.75mm needles and 3.25mm needles (either DPNs or long circulars for Magic Loop), scissors and stitch markers
