Faroese Shawls

Traditionally a piece of clothing from the Faroe Islands, Faroese shawls are big, warm everyday items that sit well on shoulders rather than dainty special occasion objects.
In this class students will learn to:
- Understand the construction and shaping of Faroese shawls
- Learn the unique charting and pattern writing systems for Faroese shawls
- Create a miniture sample shawl in preparation to tackling a full-sized project
Materials
100g of woolly double-knitting yarn, 2 pairs of 5mm needles (straight and circular), tapestry needle, 4 stitch markers.
